Bulletin Boards, Baby!

Man, this has been some crazy weather round-about here! "Round-about here?" Is that my PA Dutch coming through? Anyways, in between all the snow days I somehow managed to get my new bulletin boards designed and displayed. I decided to go with the statewide summer reading theme, since I probably won't have time to redo them before summer hits (as far away as that seems right now). See if you can guess the theme for Summer 2014!

Board #1 - BORED DOES NOT COMPUTE
Sorry for the glare on the lamination!

Close-up of the stack of books with my added titles. I crack myself up!
Board #2 - MAD SCIENCE
Shout-out to Mrs. Lacock for helping me design our crazy friend.
Board #3 - BOOKIVORE
Say hello to my little friend...
Did you guess the theme yet? It's SCIENCE - FIZZ BOOM READ! Just a little teaser to get your kids thinking about all the fun we will have this summer.

I can't do a bulletin boards post without showing you the 2 handled by the multi-talented OTHER children's librarian, Mrs. Lacock. She does a great job in the picture book area...
Jan Brett's The Hat
Oh Hedgie, you're so silly!
How prophetic for this winter.
We sure enjoy working hard to make our children's area bright, appealing, and fun!
